Fans of Spinal Tap and Flight of the Conchords, say “Hallo!” to your new favourite band!

Otto and Astrid Rot are Berliner brother and sister electro-punk rockers, from the band Die Roten Punkte (The Red Dots) and are the self-proclaimed “Best Band in the World”.

This dysfunctional, squabbling, co-dependent pair, travel the world with their music and their legendary dance moves, Otto’s naivety bumping up against Astrid’s selfishness and cunning. At their insistently MEGA concerts, their personalities take a backseat for a moment, to a thumping, leaping, buzzing assault of post-pop- punk RAWK.

An Otto & Astrid show is equal parts pop concert, sketch comedy and cabaret. Subtly and fully realised characterisations drive the drama and narrative, classic double-act status play and physical shtick provides the laughs, and award winning song writing punches out the buzz in a consistently high energy, ambitious, spectacular performance.

Orphaned as kids when Astrid was 12 and Otto was 9, the brother and sister duo found shelter in a Berlin squat and never looked back on their wild, liberating, high wattage ride.

A Die Roten Punkte gig is a wild, rock ‘n’ roll cabaret ride, full of hilarious, truly catchy and award winning pop songs, constantly interrupted by the squabbling of the dysfunctional siblings. Astrid is a notorious party girl regularly ending up in the European tabloids and gossip columns. Otto sings songs about politics and fruit and has become the new wave pin up boy for the Straight Edge movement.
